Tamsin
Born: 1967,

Resides in New Hampshire
My current
body of work examines the universal attempt to contain and categorize
our environment. My narrative originates from the fundamental model of
thought adapted from Froebel's "kinder-garten", espousing that
all manmade forms are a derivative of those found in nature. By allowing
the definitions of organic and manmade structure to intertwine, clarity
comes from their seeming relatedness.
I often manipulate
the configuration of my "structures" to become something void
of their initial purpose. By drawing attention to the form, I am cultivating
how the structural form is received and processed, thereby giving it a
new context.
